Don't worry everyone...

Tic's back in diapers. I thought after 2 solid months in hunderwears that kid was potty trained. I could see it. But did I ever really FEEL it? Well, he definitely did not. I know this is probably a reaction to a new baby. I know he will someday keep everything dry, clean, and gross-free. But for now I would rather have 3 children in diapers than be scrubbing poopy underwear and trying oh so hard not to yell at my sweet - but bottom illiterate son. The end.

  1. It'll happen, and you're a smart mama to let it be for now.

  2. We've already talked about it in detail, but I am sorry and I feel you! We tried the "practicing" revelation you told me about. Yesterday Elena came running into me, "Mom, I wanted to serve you, so I'm practicing all by myself because I had an accident." Eric turned to me and said, "She's not supposed to want to practice." She hated it for about the first three times and no she is complacent about it. I really think she's going to be in diapers and having accidents when she goes to school next year. And I'm pretty sure I will have 3 in diapers. How can you have a six year spread between oldest and youngest and have everyone in diapers? (No that's not an announcement - just me crying in the misery of unending diaperland.) I really want to go punch in the face anyone who's kids have gotten out of diapers before the age of 4.

Blegh. Sorry you're going through it, too.

  3. OH NOOOOOOOOOOO! i truly thought he was done. i am so, so sorry. that is so discouraging. i bet you're right, it must be a new baby thing. maybe you should make ryan break his spirit again while you're on the girls trip. :)

  4. PS- in case you or briana care (and maybe you already did it this way but i'm throwing it out there in case it helps), i think the key with practicing is to make it very annoying. if it isn't a big deal to them, wait a few minutes until they start watching a show or playing or having a snack and THEN make them practice. we tried to do ten times in a row and it was torture, but worked. anyway, i am sorry.
