One day in December Atticus discovered this infant tiger costume. And He's been wearing it ever since.
Tic's a thinker. If he really wants to BE a tiger he needs to eat like them. So he asks me for MEAT.
He does everything in his tiger costume.
Watches movies in it...
Plays in it...
Eats snacks in it...
Falls asleep in it.
Then one day he found THESE.
And he knew...
they were the perfect addition.
So now you can almost always find him wearing a 0-3 month baby tiger costume, 6 month girl leggings, this orange t-shirt, and growling at everything.
He even catches daddy long legs in this attire.
P.S. Should I not win some "mother of the year award" for helping my children catch a daddy long leg in a jar? Oh how far I've come. Mr. Tic was excited to catch the bug but also nervous. So as I'm SHAKING IN MY PANTS (literally shaking) I'm saying "It's okay, buddy. They can't hurt you." Ahhh. I am so nice.

This made me laugh for two reasons: first, because when we babysat last week--guess what Tic insisted on putting on. Yup, that's right. And second, maybe you're getting some insights into why I allowed a rat, bunny, guinea pigs, hamsters, lizards, snakes, gerbils, and a variety of other critters, into my living space! (Did I mention snakes?) Yes, it wasn't my idea, I can assure you! But love--ah what a mother will do for the love of a boy who begs.
ReplyDeletehaha, i laughed, too because he was wearing that all night on friday when i was over. it makes me chuckle every time i see it because it is SO small. tic is awesome!
ReplyDeleteand yes, you do get a mother of the year award for the bugs. ew, ew, ew! i can squish them now, but not catch them. you are nicer than me. that'll probably be something that i'll say, "wait til dad gets home and can help you." :)
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, i love this. thank you for taking pictures in all these various moments/activities because it really illustrates your point that he is always wearing his tiger getup. i feel like this is so classic atticus. and i have to say, those striped pants just are icing on the cake. SOOOO funny. i so hope he will wear this when i am there next.
