A Welcome Message:

Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But it rocks absolutely, too.
Also,
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent, but you'd be a fool to withhold that from your superiors.

Abigail these days

5 to 6 months

She's mastered rolling... so if I leave her alone in her room, she always goes for under her crib.
Where's the baby...

There she is! (Think Ice Age)

Sittin' in a bucket of beans with her mouth hanging open... "Is this a good activity?"

She's pretty much the most popular kid in this house.

She feels REALLY successful when she can get both feet in her mouth at once.

She likes eating pretty well. Cereal morning and night plus something tasty at noon: green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, pears. They're all gold.

She's a sweet snuggler, her Dad might disagree.

We're still working on Torticollis. Physical therapy 3 times a day. It sounds more fun than it is, believe me:). But she's learned to tolerate the stretches a bit more.

She's pretty vocal- going both high and very low depending on her mood.

She's scooting... trying to crawl but having difficulties on our wood floors, very slippery.

And she's just nailed sitting up.

We friggen love her.

FHE: Dance Party

For Home Evening one night we invited Mom, Dad, and Andrew over to play the Wii with us (I gave Ryan one for his birthday). We started with Mario Brothers which was fun. But then we realized with that group- we needed to dance.

It was a riot!

Dad held the little gals so I could join in too.

I was really proud of Jo for joining in! Everything she does is so cute.

And Mags was definitely moving to the music as well.

Sister love.

A few February things.

Josephine lost her first tooth (and second shortly thereafter) and enjoyed her first gift from the Tooth Fairy!

She also got her first (and maybe last?!) black-eye. Her teeth falling out was natural. The black-eye was the result from a head fight she got in with the couch at Josie and Josh's one Sunday.

You can not by ANY means see how awful this thing looked. Her kindergarten teacher, and many others, definitely questioned her about this wound.

Atticus and Jo played a frightful game of "bird sits on it's egg."

Guess who's the bird and who's the egg...

Such a perfect nest.
Jo's a nice sister in so many ways. I would never in a million years let Atticus sit on me like that... nothing but some red hunderwear protecting me from his sometimes dry bottom.

Alman (from around the corner) became Atticus once in a life time best buddy.

And they play together almost every single day now. Dragons. Dinosaurs. Pirates. Cowboys. They're very serious about what they play.

Maggie decided there is exactly one way to smile for a camera.

You shall never see her eyes again.

Or the top of her head.

But it's still tute.

Thank goodness that's just a wig.

Abigail spent some time getting acquainted with her cousin Cameron (Josie and Josh's 3rd)! They are about 2 months apart.

She also became fairly abusive to her family. Scratching and such.

Girl's Trip 2013

So I have a LOT to catch up on. Sometimes I just stop uploading pictures onto the computer and then I stop blogging altogether. It's a terrible habit. Anywho... here's a smattering of pictures from the annual Hoffman Girl's Trip (!!!!!!) in February (in no particular order). We all flew in to Denver and stayed in one of the cutest little mountain towns on the planet: Estes Park.

It was WAY too much fun.

Dangerously Fun. (mostly when you sat next to Christy while playing games)

Abigail seemed to think the trip was all about her. She came for the milk. Next year it'll be audios bebe.

Kristi and Danny's little boy, Jack. He came for a short visit one day... and I definitely needed a picture. Staring at him just didn't last long enough. Click.

From Left to Right:
Back: Kristi, Mama, Briana, Jen
Front: Christy, Me, Julie

So much attractiveness all in one picture. How do we do it?

Elaine is Kristi and Danny's second. Mostly she kept her distance from me. Didn't quite get my sense of humor I guess. But she and little Abby sure do look squishy.

Ahhh sisters. If any of you want to move back I'll pay you $10. Say yes! The offer is only good for the rest of my life... so... jump on it.

Notice how Danny (wait... I thought he was of the male gender...) has spaced himself away from Christy. She doesn't understand personal space while playing games. Or that games have rules... and you're supposed to keep the rules.

See? Cute. We spent quite a bit of town on this street shopping.

Once again... trips not about you Abigail. But look at all those fingers and toes!

Okay, maybe everything is about you. Everything in my whole life.

Shopping. I love these ladies. And I love when we shop together.

Kristi got us this sweet condo hook up. The trees and mountains were beautiful.

(sometimes I get competitive at gaming. This might be a "V" for victory cheer...)

I am once again without words for how wonderful my Ryan is for sending me on this trip. He's the best.
Other notable things about said trip: Hot tubbing in freezing cold weather (like you could slip on the ice just before entering the pool), sleepover with Julie in the living room- 500 days of summer and whispering secrets, a terribly yummy soup by Briana, cute wreath making by Kristi, good conversation with everyone. Mom- thanks for having all seven of us kids... and to my in-laws... thanks for putting up with the oddities of the Hoffmans and marrying in anyway (or while still oblivious to the family ways). Can't wait for next year!

(*pictures stolen from a whole host of individuals- it was a group effort*)
