I just got home from our local Smith's grocery store. This is what I bought:
5 boxes of Honey Chex cereal
2 bags 19 oz plain M&M's
2 boxes betty crocker fruit snacks
1 loaf whole wheat bread
1 bottle purex liquid laundry detergent
I used a lot of coupons. Guess how much I paid?

ReplyDeleteI know nothing about coupons. $17??
ReplyDelete$5.70
ReplyDeleteremember, i have a gift for guessing these things. so everyone else, it's pretty much useless. ;)
you know i just looked at these deals, so i'm pretty sure i should be disqualified. but i 'll say $10. if it was less then that, i think i missed something. :)
ReplyDeletecan we come eat your m&ms? the deal didn't exist in my smiths.
Yes, you can come eat our m&m's. I paid 88 cents! Not exaggerating. It was a sweet- buy 10 get $3 off and then get $3 back later- deal. So I went Saturday and bought a ton of stuff (original price rang up as $180 and I paid $80) and got 7 $3 off later coupons. So then I went again Tuesday and used the same deal + more manufacturer's coupons + 6 $3 off coupons that printed out from Saturday. The total order rang up as $41.47. And I paid Smith's 88 cents. The cashier didn't look happy. But I don't get it! Why give me $3 off coupons and not expect me to use them? Hope that made sense!
ReplyDeletewhat was the site you use again? I was looking for it today to see if it would work in Florida.
ReplyDeleteps: awesome.
www.grocerysmarts.com - you need the florida "passport" though (instead of a password). I don't know if there's some way to get that.
ReplyDeletesweet ames! those get $3 off later things were awesome. i had $15 worth of groceries in coupons and i bought produce. the lady checking me out said i could only use one per transaction. what the? you better believe i had her call over the manager to override the system. she was super annoyed. ha ha. awesome.
ReplyDeletekristi-- i actually don't ever use the utah passport-- i just select utah in the state pull down part-- it always works for me.
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing!
