Seriously a party of Love.

My sister, Christy, and I had a little Valentine's party for our girls and their cousin Elena the other day. It was really fun! I was actually shocked at how well it turned out:) Both of our boys slept at the appropriate time so we could focus. Hey, Tic may like wearing dresses but I'm guessing that crafting will never be his activity of choice. Here are pictures.

Jo, Sophie and Elena decorating cookies.

After an entire pan of cookies had been decorated (not all in the colors of love- I think someone made a St. Patrick's Day cookie and another made one for the 4th of July), we moved to bracelet making. This proved a little advanced for our two-year-olds. So Christy and I made the bracelets while Elena and Sophie eagerly waited to put them on. Jo at this point was crying in a corner with her animals saying, "No. Can't... WON'T!" So Sophie is modeling the bracelet that Jo did not make, did not wear, and continues to loathe entirely:)

And finally they all sat down to make valentines. A little scribble here, a little line there and we have a thoughtful valentine for a cousin or sibling!

Jo loved the cookie making. She was like a machine programed to achieve her quota for the day. But she couldn't handle much of anything else. She made it through about 4 valentines before she was yelling negatives at us all again. But Sophie and Elena enjoyed the party right down to the last second:)

P.S. Sorry Chris- kicked your trash. Kicked it hard.

  3. I miss you guys! We need to hang out. Because I'm getting all sentimental at everyone's posts today :)

It's fun to read your side of the story - I'm surprised that the girls didn't like the bracelet making more. I thought they would have loved it. Oh well - they're cute anyways. And Elena loves hers now. :) Thanks for taking Elena along - you rock!!
